Eystad Promoted to Vice President of Member Services
June 25, 2007
The Minnesota Council on Foundations, a membership organization that works
actively to strengthen and expand philanthropy, has promoted Melissa Eystad to
vice president of member services.
“Melissa has made a great contribution to the Council over five years as
director in our member services area,” said Bill King, MCF president. “We now
are expanding our efforts in convening and collaboration among our members
around issues, and she will play a key role in that development.” In a recent
member survey, 91 percent of respondents said Education was the most important
role of the Council, King added.
In her position, Eystad oversees the development and delivery of learning
opportunities and resources, and facilitates connections among and between
Minnesota grantmakers. Prior to joining MCF in 2002, Eystad worked in volunteer
development and volunteer management training and technical assistance. She has
worked in the corporate, government and nonprofit sectors nationally and
internationally, including national director of volunteer development for AFS
Intercultural Programs USA from 1999-2001.
Founded in 1969, the Minnesota Council on Foundations serves the Minnesota
community of grantmakers. The Council is a regional membership association
working to improve the vitality and health of our communities. Council members
include family and private foundations, community and other public foundations,
and corporate foundations and giving programs.
