First-Ever Guide to Top 100 Minnesota Grantmakers Now Available

The Minnesota Council on Foundations today released the Guide to Top 100 Minnesota Grantmakers. The 130-page print directory features the top 100 foundations that represent 85 percent of foundation and corporate giving in the state.

This first-ever Top 100 Guide provides “tips for grantseekers” and other guidelines that these large grantmakers want grantseekers to know about seeking grants from them. “Like our other resources, the new guide offers the most up-to-date information on grantmakers,” said Bill King, Council president. “What’s new is the directory focuses on profiles, funding priorities and important contact information on the state’s grantmakers that make four of five grants awarded each year.”

The Council, a membership organization that works actively to strengthen and expand philanthropy, biennially publishes the Guide to Minnesota Grantmakers, which presents information on all 1,300 Minnesota foundations and corporate giving programs. The new Top 100 Guide will be printed biennially opposite the comprehensive Guide to Minnesota Grantmakers.

Founded in 1969, the Minnesota Council on Foundations serves the Minnesota community of grantmakers. The Council is a regional membership association working to improve the vitality and health of our communities. Council members include family and private foundations, community and other public foundations, and corporate foundations and giving programs.
