Minnesota Twins to Provide Free Tickets to Youth and Families Throughout the Midwest in 2005

The back-to-back-to-back American League Central Division Champion Minnesota Twins and the Twins Community Fund will donate more than 105,000 Twins tickets to youth and families throughout the Upper Midwest via the TwinsCare program in 2005. The program is funded in part by Twins players along with corporate and foundation partners.

Twins players Torii Hunter, Jacque Jones, Kyle Lohse, Joe Mays, Joe Mauer, Joe Nathan, Brad Radke, Johan Santana and Shannon Stewart will donate $55,000 to the program in 2005. Corporate and foundation supporters including Cub Foods, Target, United Properties, Park Nicollet Foundation, Krispy Kreme, MSP Communications, and Pinnacle Direct will donate $45,500 to the program this season.

TwinsCare has provided game tickets to youth and families for more than a decade. The program has donated in excess of 900,000 tickets to underprivileged kids and families during that time.

Upper Midwest nonprofit organizations interested in receiving free TwinsCare tickets to a 2005 Twins home game should contact the Twins Community Fund at 612-33-TWINS or 800-33-TWINS. Information is also available on the team’s official Web site.
