Medtronic Arts Access Program Supports 31 Local Art Organizations The Medtronic Foundation, Minneapolis, in partnership with COMPAS, has awarded grants to 31 arts organizations whose programs reach new audiences and expose people to the arts. The Medtronic Arts Access Program enhances the vitality of the Twin Cities community through support of organizations with community-based programs that increase access to the arts, particularly among community members whose access is limited, and promoting cross-cultural understanding. Organizations throughout the metro area received the grants for programs including school outreach programs in the arts, artist-in-residence programs, family-centered art programs and art mentoring programs. Since its inception in 2002, the Medtronic Arts Access Program has awarded more than $482,000 to 52 successful arts organizations. The most recent grant recipients include:
