Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation Helps Strengthen Education and the Arts Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation, Duluth, supported education and the arts in northeastern Minnesota as part of its June 2004 grants. In the area of education, the foundation provided three grants to Duluth Public schools: $15,000 for the After School Program Collaboration; $28,000 for the Scott Anderson Leadership Forum; and $2,000 for the Kids Closet Program. North Shore Community School in Duluth received a $7,500 grant for curriculum development. The foundation also awarded $4,000 to Floodwood Public Schools for the Maternal and Child Community Health Program. In the area of the arts, the foundation awarded $2,100 to the Minnesota Ballet in Duluth for its Children's Outreach Performance program. The foundation also provided $1,100 to the Duluth Art Institute for the Art Garden Project. In total, Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation awarded 30 grants totaling $200,055.
