Mahnomen Community Accepting Donations for Flood Recovery

Local Mahnomen area organizers and the Northwest Minnesota Foundation have established a new charitable fund that is now accepting donations for flood-related emergency assistance and recovery efforts.

Donations to the Mahnomen Area Community Fund will provide funding for the immediate and long-term needs of the Mahnomen community in recovering from the floods. Support will be given for emergency assistance to individuals through local nonprofit organizations, long-term recovery assistance to individuals and businesses, assistance to local government and public schools for needs that are not funded through federal or state programs, and assistance to area nonprofits to continue providing vital services in the community.
