New Fund to Aid Roseau Flood Recovery Roseau area community leaders and the Northwest Minnesota Foundation have established a new charitable fund to provide financial support for the immediate and long-term needs of the Roseau area in recovering from the devastating floods of 2002. The Roseau Area Flood Recovery Fund will accept charitable contributions from individuals and businesses, utilizing the community foundation services of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation. Donations will help support the rebuilding of the community and provide assistance to residents, businesses and nonprofits within the Roseau area. The flood fund is a restricted fund of the Roseau Area Community and Education Fund at the foundation. Contributions to the Roseau Area Flood Recovery Fund can be sent to Northwest Minnesota Foundation, 4225 Technology Drive NW, Bemidji, MN 56601. Donations can also be dropped off at two locations in Roseau: Border State Bank (1083 Third Street NW) or Citizen State Bank (118 Main Avenue). Checks can be made payable to "NMF- Roseau Flood Recovery." All donations to the fund are tax-deductible as allowed by law. |
