AgStar Fund Offers College Scholarships

The AgStar Fund for Rural America, Mankato, welcomes applications for ten $1,000 college scholarships for high school seniors in its service area who are pursuing agriculture-related degrees. The application deadline is April 1, 2004, and the scholarships will be awarded in May 2004.

To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must be residents of AgStar's local service area; be a graduating high school senior with GPA of 3.0 or better; and have a designated major or interest in an agriculture-related field.

Applicants are selected based on academic achievement, leadership characteristics and community involvement. Two winners will be chosen from each of AgStar's five regions. Special consideration will be given to children of parents who are clients of AgStar Financial Services, ACA. Immediate family members of AgStar employees or board members are not eligible to apply.
