Initiative Foundation Magazine, Web Site Win Awards The Initiative Foundation, Little Falls, announced that its Web site and "Initiative Quarterly (IQ)" magazine were honored with a national Telly Award and several regional ADDY Awards at separate events. Receiving five ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federation were the summer, fall and winter issues of "IQ Magazine," a full-color publication dedicated to telling the inspirational stories of community service and volunteerism in central Minnesota. The ADDYs celebrate outstanding creativity in advertising and include recognition for public service. "IQ" is published by Evergreen Press of Brainerd, which also produces "The Lake Country Journal." The magazine features contributions from several Minnesota writers and photography by Jim Altobell and Altobell Imagery, Waite Park. The foundation's Web site, www.ifound.org, recently received a national Telly Award, which honors excellence in television, film and interactive productions. In addition to a wealth of program information and online grant and business loan applications, the Web site features an animated graphic of a rural hometown created by central Minnesota illustrator Dave Phipps. Creative Design Associates of Rochester, Minn. designed the site. "It's unique to work in a profession with so many opportunities for recognition," said Matt Kilian, Initiative Foundation director of communications. "All of our publications try to present simple information in a creative way that depicts community service as exciting, important and a lot of fun. We are humbled that someone thinks our work is worthy of these prominent awards." For a free "IQ" subscription or more information about the Initiative Foundation, visit the award-winning Web site at www.ifound.org. |
