The foundation completed its latest fiscal year by distributing $2,215,982 in grants to 360 organizations from January through June 2004. Of this amount, 45 percent went to support education, 18 percent to fund social services, 14 percent to parishes, 6 percent to seminaries and 17 percent to other religious organizations. The foundation's grant distributions came from endowments, beneficial endowments, trusts and transfers from donor-advised funds. Since its inception in 1992, the Catholic Community Foundation has made more than $35 million in grants to support the spiritual, educational and social needs of the community.
