3M Post-It Continues to 'Stick Up' for Breast Cancer Research

3M's Post-it brand launched a fundraising program for breast cancer research in conjunction with City of Hope Cancer Center, a nationally renowned center for cancer research, treatment and education.

In 2004, 3M built the world's largest pink ribbon out of 75,000 Post-it Super Sticky Notes on a billboard in New York's Times Square. This year, 3M is extending the reach of the pink ribbon by taking it online and encouraging participation from across the country.

Visitors to www.post-it.com/research can add a "virtual note" to the World's Largest Pink eRibbon with the name of a loved one who has been touched by breast cancer. For every name added to the eRibbon, 3M Office Supplies Division will donate 50 cents to City of Hope, up to a total donation of $100,000. Visitors can also make a donation directly to City of Hope through the Web site.

3M has been working with breast cancer survivors and loved ones to build Post-it Notes dedication walls at grassroots walks throughout the year with personalized messages of support. The company is also working at the retail level to promote awareness and drive fundraising efforts for breast cancer research.
