ABFE To Celebrate 35 Years

The Association of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE) will mark its 35th Anniversary with a celebration at the national Council on Foundations Conference in Pittsburgh from May 6-9.

The celebration kicks off on Saturday with the 15th Annual James A. Joseph Lecture and Awards Ceremony. Willis K. Bright, director of youth programs at the Lilly Endowment and formerly of Honeywell, will be honored for his many contributions to the field of philanthropy. Other past lecturers with Minnesota ties are Reatha Clark King, Emmett Carson and Wenda Weekes Moore.

ABFE was created at the 1971 COF conference and holds the distinction of being the oldest of more than 40 COF affinity groups.

More information about the 35th Anniversary Celebration can be found in a PDF on abfe.org.
