MCF Members Earn National Recognition

General Mills
earned the
Minnesota Work-Life Champions Gold Award for the Very
Large Employer category for 2006. Medtronic received the
Silver Award and Mayo Clinic received the Bronze Award.
Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation earned the Gold Award
for the Small Employer category. In addition, four MCF members
earned 2006 Work-Life Advocate recognition: Cargill,
Comcast, Imation and Wells Fargo Bank Minnesota. |

Medtronic,
UnitedHealth Group and Wells Fargo were named to Fortune
magazine's national
America's Most Admired Companies list for
2006. In addition, 3M, Best Buy, CHS,
General Mills, Medtronic, Supervalu, Target,
UnitedHealth Group and Wells Fargo were listed as
Minnesota's most admired companies. The rankings use the following
categories: Innovation, People management, Use of corporate assets,
Social responsibility, Quality of management, Financial soundness,
Long-term investment and Quality of products/services. |

General Mills
and IBM were listed among the top 10 of Working Mother
magazine's
100 Best Companies for 2005. General Mills was cited for
its flextime, personal leave policy and adoption-reimbursement
program. IBM, which has been named to the list for 20 consecutive
years, was also recognized for its flextime, in addition to parental
leave benefits, a job-shadow program, and a new CD with advice on
how to be a good parent despite work pressure. |

G&K Services
was named one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada for the second
consecutive year by The Globe and Mail. G&K, the largest provider of
branded identity apparel and facility services programs to customers
in Canada, was listed second on the survey that measured Leadership
Team, Human Resources and Employee Opinion. |
