Mayo Clinic's Heritage
Days Mayo Clinic is celebrating the spirit of volunteerism during its Heritage Days celebration from Oct. 3-7 in Rochester. Heritage Days is an annual event celebrating Mayo's history, recognizing the work of Mayo staff, volunteers and retirees, and acknowledging the community for the support it provides to the organization. This year's theme is "The Many Ways We Care." The events include noon-hour "fireside chats" about volunteerism on Tuesday and Thursday, featuring heartwarming stories from Mayo employees who volunteer outside the organization and people who provide volunteer services at Mayo. Noon-hour concerts are being held daily at several campus locations. Commemorative displays featuring Mayo Clinic's significant anniversaries can be found in Hage Atrium, Siebens Building, during the week. The public is welcome to take part in the week's festivities. Event listings, features and other information can be found on the Heritage Days Web page. |
