Initiative Foundation To
Hold Little Falls-based Initiative Foundation will hold a statewide conference, Minnesota ICE: A Rural Response to Methamphetamine, on Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Cloud Civic Center. Registration deadline is Oct. 21. Minnesota ICE (Intervention, Care, Education, as well as a common meth street-name) is the first allied effort against the rural methamphetamine epidemic. The conference includes custom-designed workshops such as Addict in the Family, Financial & Service Impact, Crystal-Clear Employer Strategies, and Meth Lab Decontamination. Invited attendees include businesses and employers, community leaders, elected officials, healthcare professionals, education, law enforcement, nonprofit organizations, clergy and students. MCF members serving as sponsors of the conference are the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, West Central Initiative, Northland Foundation, Northwest Minnesota Foundation, Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, Southwest Minnesota Foundation and the McKnight Foundation.
