Wells Fargo Supports Metro-Area Nonprofits

Wells Fargo contributed more than $590,000 to 19 organizations that support arts and culture, civic and community development, education, and human services in the Twin Cities metro area during the first quarter of 2006.

A sampling of organizations and programs that received Wells Fargo support in the first quarter:
  • Perspectives Family Center, technology upgrade for its programs for homeless women and children, $50,000
  • Center for Asian and Pacific Islanders, capital campaign to renovate its building, $45,000
  • Minnesota Orchestra, operating support for 2006, $47,000
"Giving is a commitment that starts at the very top of our company and is enthusiastically supported by all of our team members," said Jon Campbell, CEO for Wells Fargo's Minnesota region. "We're proud to be able to give back to our communities at this significant level."

Other organizations receiving contributions in this quarter: Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, Phalen Corridor Initiative, H.I.R.E.D., Minnesota Minority Diversity Supplier, Minnesota Veterans Home Board, SEARCH, Vail Place, Children's Theatre Company, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Minnesota Children's Museum, Minnesota Public Radio, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Walker Art Center and Minnesota Private College Fund for annual Wells Fargo scholarships.
