DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT/CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Reports to: Director of Training

Position summary:
As a member of the Montessori Training Center of Minnesota (MTCM) staff, the director of development/campaign manager is responsible for a comprehensive resource development program that generates corporate, foundation, government and individual philanthropic support. Through 2009 the position will primarily focus on the day-to-day management and oversight of the MTCM’s capital campaign as well as enhancing the donor base for operating funds. Subsequent activity will focus on building annual operating funding.

Primary responsibilities:

Manages an effective comprehensive campaign to fund the capital and operating needs for the MTCM
Plans, directs and implements a comprehensive development program that generates corporate, foundation, government and individual support
Performs general management responsibilities including annual plans, budgets, reports, staff supervision and evaluation and oversight of gift tracking systems

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
5-7 years experience in charitable fund development
Excellent written/oral communication skills
Demonstrated track record with respect to detail orientation and accuracy
Proficient computer skills using MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook; familiar with internet; and competency with electronic donor tracking systems

Salary:
Commensurate with experience
