SENIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Organization summary:
Hazelden provides the highest quality chemical dependency treatment and continuing care services, education, research and publishing products available today. Our Minneapolis location is seeking a FT Senior Development Officer.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
Develop relationships with constituents and deliver donor-centered strategies leading to the presentation of proposals leading to contributions in the range of $100,000 and above. Negotiate with prospective donors to secure contributions toward strategic priorities of Hazelden. Supervise activities of staff of three Associate Development Officers, set financial goals and measure individual and team progress. Collaborate with the Manager of Donor Acquisition and provide cultivation and stewardship to maintain and increase contribution revenue.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; master's is desired
Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge fundraising database is desired
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the cultivation, solicitation, and negotiation of significant charitable contributions
A demonstrated ability to successfully work with prospective donors capable of contributions of $100,000 or more
A familiarity with chemical dependency and recovery is desired
Must have a valid driver's license

Salary:
73,054.00 to 86,000.00
