DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota Posted July 25, 2008 Classification: Full time, exempt salary position Supervision: Reports to the Executive Director, Directly supervises one part time development staff person of the foundation Our mission: The Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will work to prevent, control, and cure epilepsy through services, educating, advocacy, and research. There are over 60,000 Minnesotans who have seizures. Currently 50 staff throughout Minnesota with a program budget of $1.3 million and a full budget of $3.5 million. Learn more at www.efmn.org. Position purpose: The Director performs a leadership role as the senior administrator responsible for driving all development activities of the foundation and provides the oversight of the annual “Light up the Night” benefit. This position has the responsibility to increase the current development dollars and to identify and implement systems, polices, and processes to support more aggressive and diverse fundraising efforts. As a highly skilled and experienced professional, the Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, influencing, and evaluating the entire fund raising/resource development program including the annual gala. This position serves on the management team and represents the foundation when needed. Responsibilities also include attaining the targeted fundraising goals and outcomes established and approved by the EFM Board of Directors.
