PROGRAM ASSISTANT - SCHOLARSHIPS (GRANTS AND PROGRAM)
Minnesota Community Foundation and The Saint Paul Foundation

Essential accountabilities and expected outcomes:
Administer and coordinate the day-to-day scholarship grantmaking activities of Minnesota Community Foundation and The Saint Paul Foundation. Design, document, and implement processes and procedures to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of scholarship grantmaking.


Required qualifications:
  • Ability to identify and initiate creative ways to enhance processes, procedures or outcomes that benefit the operations of scholarship grantmaking.
  • Ability to independently analyze and evaluate data, and administer position accountabilities under minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable with and capable of working at a fast pace to prioritize, track, coordinate and complete multiple tasks with close, overlapping and/or conflicting deadlines.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage time and resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to create and accurately proofread and edit documents and other materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a high functioning team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with staff, board, committee members and other internal and external constituents of the foundation.
  • Ability to work across cultures.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of applicable related computer programs, including but not limited to Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003 (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook), required.
  • High degree of confidentiality and the ability to use good judgment and discretion in handling confidential and/or sensitive information and materials. High level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
  • At least five years of project management or administrative experience with increasing levels of responsibility in a professional business environment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of database experience preferred.
