Liberty Diversified Industries (LDI) is a privately held manufacturing and distribution company founded in 1918 with 1,700 employees in 7 states and Mexico. LDI is made up of a diverse group of companies in a variety of industries. At LDI, we manufacture paper, corrugated packaging, corrugated plastic and fabricated steel products, and design/distribute office products.

We currently have an opening for a Community Involvement Director. This position will be responsible for planning and implementing effective community outreach events and programs; encourage employee involvement in community programs and maintain liaison with local government, schools and civic organizations.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee involvement in civic organizations
Recruit employees to participate in civic organizations
Manage the Employee Directed Giving Program
Maintain local government relations
Seek out community investment opportunities
Oversee the structure and activities of the Community Action Teams
Monitor LDI’s charitable contributions
Maintain local school involvement

Requirements:

Community Relations principles, concepts, and trends
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the organization
Office systems software — word processing, spreadsheets, presentations
Managing internal and external relationships
Planning and organization
Project management
Decision making
Negotiation
Bachelor's degree
7 years experience in community relations
