Do you enjoy developing new business? United Way is seeking an innovative individual who excels at building relationships, has proven experience identifying opportunities and is able to see ideas through to implementation.

Description of duties:
The primary responsibility is to develop a portfolio of individuals and upgrade their giving to major gifts status of $5K plus. This position is responsible for cultivating, managing and soliciting a portfolio of approximately 150+ donors with the capacity to give $1,000 or more on an annual basis and will also work strategically to secure champions in the workplace campaigns to access prospects.

In collaboration with the fundraising department, this position will be responsible for designing and implementing customized cultivation plans for assigned donors to enhance the donor's connection and lifetime loyalty to United Way.

Specifications:

B.A. degree required
2+ years experience development experience
Proven success developing new business
Experience in planning, solicitation and volunteer management
Strong customer relationship skills
Ability to overcome obstacles
Experience working as a part of a high performance team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to relate effectively with a diverse group of individuals and organizations
PC proficiency - knowledge and expertise using customer relationship management systems a plus
Major gifts experience a plus
