INTERACTIVE CONTENT PRODUCER

TPT/Twin Cities Public Television is pleased to announce the position opening for a full-time Interactive Content Producer. This position will report to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications and will:
- Manage multiple web based media projects, overseeing: creation of project plans and budget coordination, beta testing and public launch, user interface testing and enhancement, refinement of content strategy, analysis of usage, etc.
- Organize, catalog and prioritize archival television content for inclusion in an online media library. This includes maintaining and updating standards for segmenting and meta-tagging the archival content as well as hands-on segmenting and meta-tagging.
- Provide hands-on support for Almanac and Almanac At the Capitol web sites. Help develop additional features/content to enhance and expand tpt's online public affairs content.
- Cultivate relationships with community content creators that lead to collaborative partnerships.
- Manage grant application and reporting processes to capitalize on funding opportunities and ensure compliance with grants received.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree in technical communications, Web Design, Instructional Technology, Marketing or other related field. A combination of education and successful work history in creating online content in various formats will also be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in web media content.
- The ability to productively work with technical staff by maintaining a working knowledge of languages/tools such as Filemaker, HTML, XML, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), Dreamweaver, MySQL, JavaScript, PHP, Actionscript, Flash, Drupal, streaming video, blogs, etc.
- Create effective, high quality relationships with internal and external constituents.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently, be a self-starter and motivate self to achieve success.
- A well-developed sense of strategy, and the ability to envision and communicate new ideas.
