The Agenda for Lasting Change calls for the organization to shift its focus to addressing the root causes of poverty. This will require new initiatives within the community and a leader who is able to lead the conversation on poverty, as well as convene leaders who can address community needs through public/private partnerships, through wise legislation, and through focused philanthropy.
The CEO must bring a balance of strategy, public
policy and senior level operating experience, as well as a demonstrated
commitment to social services and a passion for the United Way’s fight against
poverty. |
