Prospect Research Manager
St. Paul Academy and Summit School

St. Paul Academy and Summit School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in kindergarten through grade 12. The School serves approximately 850 students from throughout the metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Position Summary:
The Prospect Research Manager is responsible for research activities related to constituencies that support the St. Paul Academy and Summit School’s advancement program, annual fundraising efforts and an upcoming capital campaign. The position reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement and works closely with staff responsible for development, alumni/ae relations, advancement services, and communications.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify prospects annual leadership gifts, the upcoming campaign, major gifts, planned gifts, annual giving, and foundation support.
  • Conduct in-depth research to prepare solicitation strategies.
  • Prepare prospect profiles and reports.
  • Manage prospect tracking information.
  • Coordinate prospect screening activities.
  • Identify new prospect research sources and research trends.
  • Maintain all research information efficiently and effectively, ensuring confidential and ethical considerations.
  • Assist with maintaining an accurate, update-to-date database.
  • Develop plans that include priorities, outcomes, action steps, and timetables.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director of Institutional Advancement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Three years experience in fundraising research or institutional advancement work.
  • Strong research skills related to fundraising, financial information, community engagement, philanthropy, and relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience using inquisitive skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong experience with Raisers Edge software, databases, computer management, and Microsoft applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, project development skills, and analytical skills.
  • Appreciation for an independent K-12 education.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated team member.
