Diversity Practices in Philanthropic
Organizations
This special chapter of MCF's Principles for
Grantmakers and Practice Options for Philanthropic Organizations
documents offers foundations and corporate giving programs some fresh
ideas, good practices and current examples of diversity work in the
field.
"Race Matters" Toolkit
Developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, this toolkit is designed to help decisionmakers,
advocates and elected officials address policies and practices that contribute to inequitable
outcomes for children, families, and communities. The toolkit includes a PowerPoint presentation
that offers fact sheets on key areas (health, education, income security, etc.), a racial
equity impact analysis tool, community building strategies, and an organizational
self-assessment.
