Who Should Attend

MCF's annual conference is open to all staff members and board members/trustees for all types of foundations and corporate grantmakers, including family foundations, private independent foundations, community foundations, public foundations, corporate foundations, corporate/business giving programs and public charity grantmakers. The conference is open to both members and non-members of the Minnesota Council on Foundations (members receive a reduced conference rate).


Hotel

The Northland Inn, an Executive Conference Center, has earned nine AAA 4-Diamond awards, establishing it as a premiere hotel and conference center. Recently remodeled throughout, it offers some of the most spacious deluxe, executive and VIP guestroom suites in the Upper Midwest.

A block of rooms is being held at The Northland Inn for conference participants at a special discounted rate of $99 per night (single or double occupancy plus 9.5% tax) for Wednesday and Thursday nights. In order to receive the discounted rate and ensure space availability, please make your reservation by October 25, 2004. Make your reservations directly with the hotel by calling 763.536.8300 or 800.441.6422 and indicate that you are attending the Minnesota Council on Foundations conference.

Registration Fees

  • MCF Member Discount
    Members of the Minnesota Council on Foundations receive a discounted conference rate. For information on MCF membership, please contact Chuck Peterson at 612.335.3558, cpeterson@mcf.org.
        
  • Multiple Registration Discount
    If three or more members from an MCF member organization attend the conference, the first two registrants pay the full conference rate and the third and additional registrants receive a 15 percent discount (available to MCF members only).
        
  • Trustee and CEO Dinner & Program
    Attendance at the Wednesday evening dinner and program for trustees and CEOs requires a separate registration fee and is limited to foundation board members/trustees and foundation and grantmaking executive directors, CEOs and presidents.


Cancellation Policy

To ensure a refund, please notify MCF of your cancellation prior to November 10, 2004 by fax (612.337.5089) or e-mail (info@mcf.org). After November 10, no refunds will be given.


Dress Business Casual

We encourage you to wear comfortable business casual clothing for this conference.

Solicitation Policy

This conference is not intended to be an opportunity for active solicitation of any kind, including solicitation for business, fund management or grants.

Wednesday Night Dine-Arounds

For conference registrants not attending the Trustee & CEO Dinner, gather together with your colleagues to dine at a local restaurant, then follow it up by attending a play, going to a gallery or networking in a local pub.
