Description: Do you want your family’s next generation to continue your giving tradition? Most philanthropic families say yes, but many are not actively facilitating the process.

  • How do new trustees develop their values and ideas in order to contribute to the discussions?
  • When they do get a sense of how they’d like to give, will the board welcome their perspectives?
  • What can you do to encourage your younger members to develop giving identities?

This call features two individuals who survived and thrived as next generation board members and who now work with families and younger donors to encourage the creation of personal giving identities. Hear their views and share your own tools, tips and questions on this ever-important discussion in family philanthropy.

Speakers:

  • Lisa Parker, president and executive director, Lawrence Welk Foundation
  • Lana Volfstun, executive director, One Percent Foundation
