The Meaning and Impact of Board and Staff Diversity in the Philanthropic Field

"The Meaning and Impact of Board and Staff Diversity in the Philanthropic Field" shows that the philanthropy field has made some progress in becoming more diverse, but still faces many important challenges in addressing diversity issues if grantmakers are to respond effectively to the needs of the communities they serve. The report was prepared for the Joint Affinity Groups (JAG), a national coalition of grantmaker associations, and is the result of a multi-stage research project that combined surveys, interviews and focus groups to reach more than 600 grantmakers nationwide.
