Piper Jaffray Supports Youth Organizations

Piper Jaffray focused on organizations that help disadvantaged youth achieve academic success in its final round of grantmaking for 2005.

"Piper Jaffray recognizes the need for programs helping disadvantaged youth," said Andrew Duff, chairman and CEO of Piper Jaffray Companies. "We are proud to be able to support organizations that help students achieve academic success."

Piper Jaffray awarded grants to organizations that provide financial education, mentoring, literacy programs and enterprise-based learning. Other organizations received funding for their work with disadvantaged youth and the involvement of parents to better equip them as agents of academic success for their children. Minnesota organizations that received grants include Achieve!Minneapolis, Admission Possible, BestPrep, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, Minnesota Teen Challenge, Page Ahead Education Foundation, People Serving People and Urban Ventures.

In total, 54 organizations were awarded $235,850 during this grant cycle. For a complete list of grants, visit the Piper Jaffray website.
