(Oct. 25, 2011) — The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation welcomes Stacey D. Millett as a senior program officer. Millett will work on health equity projects to help ensure that all Minnesotans have the opportunity to be their healthiest.
“Minnesota is regularly ranked as one of the healthiest states, but research shows that low-income families and populations of color often don’t share that good health,” said Marsha Shotley, president. “We’re thrilled to have Stacey join our staff and expand our work in this area.”
Millett most recently served as director of family services for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. She has an extensive background in the community development field, including nonprofit management roles in neighborhood-based organizations and foundations. She is also actively involved in community service, including eight years as a volunteer in St. Paul school classrooms, board vice president of COMPAS and eight years on the Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Wesleyan University, a master’s in television and radio from Syracuse University, and a master’s in business administration from the Carlson School of Management.
