(Feb. 13, 2013) — In the fourth quarter of 2012, the Funders Collaborative awarded six grants totaling nearly $400,000. The grants support three of four Funders Collaborative goals: Access to Affordable Housing, Vibrant Transit-Oriented Places and Effective Coordination and Collaboration.
Highlights from the six grants awarded this quarter include:
ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING
The Twin Cities Local Initiatives Support Corporation was awarded $87,450 to support the Big Picture Project (Central Corridor Affordable Housing Coordinated Plan Working Group).
VIBRANT TRANSIT-ORIENTED PLACES
The City of Minneapolis received a $60,000 investment to support the coordination of development opportunities and transportation changes near the downtown east LRT station.
The Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation was awarded a $135,000 investment to support the work of the Central Corridor Design Center.
To date, the Funders Collaborative has made 92 grants totaling over $6.6M in four key areas: Access to Affordable Housing, Strong Local Economy, Vibrant Transit Oriented Places and Coordination and Collaboration. For a complete list of investments, click here.
