(August 29, 2011) - Hormel Foods Corporation today announced a donation of about 220,000 Hormel Compleats microwave meals to Feeding America to aid in relief efforts following Tropical Storm Irene.

"Our thoughts are with everyone affected by Tropical Storm Irene," said Julie H. Craven, vice president of corporate communications at Hormel Foods. "With the clean-up phase underway, we hope these meals are a convenient way to feed those in need."

Hormel Compleats microwave meals are 10-ounce satisfying meals that feature quality chicken, beef or turkey as well as flavorful vegetables and pasta, potatoes or rice. They are ideal for use in a disaster kit because they do not need to be frozen or refrigerated.
