Virginia McKnight Binger Heart of Community Honor

MCF, in partnership with the McKnight Foundation, is delighted to announce the opening of the newly revamped Virginia McKnight Binger Heart of Community Honor (formerly the Virginia Binger McKnight Unsung Hero Awards). As part of our commitment to achieving community impact through maximizing philanthropy's connections, we look forward to celebrating people who are the pulse of Minnesota’s caring and connected communities.

This awards program celebrates seven everyday champions from across the state whose compassion and contributions serve as the heartbeat of our communities, and who inspire others to join in creating a more caring and connected state. Each honoree receives $10,000 in recognition of the significant impact they have had on the state of Minnesota and its communities.

As a member of Minnesota’s philanthropic community, you have a unique ability to see what’s happening in diverse communities and across various corners of the state. This honor is a unique way for you to elevate the work of your nonprofit grantees and community partners.
