Minnesota Grantmakers Online is the most comprehensive searchable database of Minnesota foundations, corporate grantmakers and grants, and it's maintained by MCF! Members of MCF can access MGO for free as part of their membership. It can help you find potential collaboration partners, benchmark yourself against similar grantmakers, research who is being funded in your areas of interest, and more. Learn more about MGO.




Through special arrangements with Bromelkamp Company, MCF offers members discounts on and Pearl products.  Discounts are up to 4% to single organizations and up to 10% to organizations that purchase software jointly and share training. Designed in Microsoft Access and integrated so you never type the same thing twice, Pearl products are user-modifiable and customized to meet your foundation's needs. A+ Conferencing offers discounted rates for members of regional associations of grantmakers. They provide convenient and easy-to-use reservationless conferencing, operator-assisted conferences and web conferencing.



GrantCraft offers MCF members 20% off printed copies of their guides. Their resources present a practitioner's view of philanthropy on such subjects as practices and methods for more effective grantmaking, insights into relations between grantees and grantmakers, and how to organize grantmaking work for best results.








The National Center for Family Philanthropy gives MCF members free access to NCFP's Family Philanthropy Online Knowledge Center and monthly teleconferences.

The FP Online Knowledge Center provides families, trustees and staff constant access and timely updates to cutting-edge information on trends, strategies and research for community-based philanthropy. It contains more than 2,000 articles, checklists and sample forms that provide practical advice and perspective on key topics. The resources are appropriate for those new to family philanthropy, as well as for more experienced philanthropists and advisors.

MCF members can also participate in monthly NCFP teleconferences featuring experts in the field of family philanthropy. The teleconferences, which usually cost $75 each, are free to MCF members. Sign up via the MCF Events page.



The Foundation Review, a peer-reviewed journal of philanthropy, offers MCF members a 10% discount. The journal, written by and for foundation staff and boards, provides rigorous research and writing presented in an accessible style. It shares evaluation results, tools, and knowledge about the philanthropic sector in order to improve the practice of grantmaking and yield greater impact and innovation.
