MCF Member Information Session: Rural-Urban Bridging Initiative

Late in 2022, an idea took hold around rural and urban bridge building. MCF members began exploring how philanthropy can play a leadership role in uniting Minnesotans across difference, especially rural and urban geography, through shared learning and collective impact.

MCF member discussions led to the recommendation that MCF develop a project dubbed RUBI (Rural Urban Bridging Initiative), which we are ready to launch. Join this MCF Member Information Session to learn more about RUBI – and how you may get involved.

During this information session you will:

•    Learn about early plans for the rural and urban bridge building initiative
•    Learn about the role of the MCF member-led steering committee, which will lead a process of discovery, design and community engagement
•    Learn how you can express interest in joining the steering committee
•    Find out next steps coming in 2023

Presenters will include:

•    MCF President Susie Brown. MCF will serve as the administrative hub. 
•    Retired Southwest Initiative Foundation president Diana Anderson. Diana will coordinate the project and support the steering committee.
