We are currently seeking an Opportunity Youth Network Associate.

Job Summary:

The Opportunity Youth Network Associate will support key projects, ensure smooth data reporting, and document completion to ensure that the containers that support innovation for opportunity youth are healthy, powerful, and productive.

Job Functions:

Working with Community Partners:

  • Support relationships with youth leadership groups and mixed-age steering committees by scheduling meetings, supporting calls for transportation, following up with people who missed, etc.
  • Hold workshops or focus groups to understand youth goals or perspectives better.
  • Connect with young people to support paperwork completion, surveys, focus groups, etc. 
  • Distribute incentives as necessary.

Data Support

  • Support data entry for the Educational Training Voucher program and the Homeless Youth Stipend Pilot
  • Collaborate with the Senior Financial Capability Program Navigator on tracking payments for the Homeless Youth Stipend project.
  • Submit appropriate youth payment invoices as necessary. Follow up on missing paperwork.
  • Aggregate necessary reporting for grants and reports.


Coordination:

  • Coordinate calendars for key meetings for the Stipend Pilot key community leaders–including Professional Learning Communities, Steering Committee, and ongoing TA with community organizations.
  • Assist in preparing and producing reports and communication materials required for grant reports, research, communication, and social media.
  • Cultivate excellent working relationships with young people, senior education, workforce development leaders, employers, government leaders, and other key community leaders involved in this initiative

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience:

Intent or currently pursuing secondary or postsecondary skills. 

Must be enrolled in one at some point during the position.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Ability to build strong relationships across various stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated desire to support advocacy and policy development.
  • Willingness to use skills in oral and written communication skills and the ability to use current technology(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • The capacity to share necessary and impactful experiences to propel work while upholding distinct personal and professional limits is essential. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and/or willingness to be coached in this area.
  • Demonstrated ability to be at ease with individuals representing a broad spectrum of beliefs, backgrounds and ideologies to work in crafting solutions and/or willingness to be coached in this area.
